Benefits for Cafes and Restaurants:

  • Expanded Customer Base: Offering decaf options allows you to cater to a wider audience, including individuals sensitive to caffeine, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those seeking to reduce their intake for health reasons. This broader appeal can translate to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Versatility in Drinks: Decaf options enable you to offer a full range of coffee beverages, including popular espresso-based drinks like decaf lattes and cappuccinos. This caters to diverse preferences and ensures everyone can enjoy their favourite coffee drink, regardless of caffeine restrictions.

Pros for Drinkers:

  • Enjoy Coffee Anytime: Decaf allows individuals to enjoy the comforting ritual and taste of coffee at any time of day, even in the evening, without worrying about sleep disruption.
  • Reduced Caffeine Intake: For those seeking to limit their caffeine intake for health reasons or personal preference, decaf provides a viable alternative.

Cons for Drinkers:

  • Subtle Flavour Difference: Some decaffeination processes can slightly impact the coffee's flavour profile, making it appear less bold or nuanced compared to regular coffee.
  • Potential for Higher Cost: Decaf coffee can sometimes be slightly more expensive than regular coffee due to the additional processing involved.

Considerations for Customers:

  • Quality Matters: Choosing high-quality decaf coffee processed using natural methods can help minimize any potential flavour difference.
  • Variety is Key: Explore different decaf roasts and origins to find options that suit your taste preferences.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to offer and consume decaf coffee is a personal one.

For cafes and restaurants, offering decaf options demonstrates inclusivity and caters to a broader customer base. For drinkers, decaf provides a way to enjoy coffee without the caffeine concerns.

How Espré Decaf is produced

High-grown Mexican coffee is decaffeinated using the water process method in Mexico to produce a clean, crisp and fully flavoured coffee in Espré whole beans and ground coffee range.

The green coffee beans are immersed in water to extract the caffeine. The water now contains caffeine and all the flavour elements of green coffee.

The caffeine is extracted using a special filter and the remaining flavoured water is used to wash the green coffee which helps maintain the maximum flavour in our Espré range of decaffeinated ground coffee and beans.
